    analog input error

    hey guys, i just got a new dell 17" lcd screen, i use to have a 17" dell CRT screen. i haven't changed any of the settings, i just pluged in the screen. and when i load up linux through the bootloader i get an error message

    1 Analog input
    cannot display this video mode
    optimum resolution 1280 x 1024 60Hz
    i'n not sure what to do at this point, i looked around on the safe mode...but i'm kinda new to linux....can anyone help?

    At the command line as root run

    If that does not work edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf and enter the appropriate specs for your monitor which you should find in the docs that came with the monitor.
