error message when prompted for swap

    hi all,
i want to install 10.2. dual boot it with xp.

i originally wanted to use, or was told to use..lol...partition magic, but many had advised me against it, as it would cause me many problems after.

so i listened, and opted against it.

when i tried the installation, it said, there was not enough memory for the yast to load, and then wanted me to write what i wanted the swap to be called, it gave me an example such as /dev/sdsa2, so i wrote that, then it gave me an error message and asked me to choose a name of swap again..

what is wrong with it? What do i need to do ?

EDIT: nevermind, i didnt check the hardware requirements.

You do need to use Partition Magic or other partioning software to open up space on the hard drive probably by srinking the current Windows partition. If you are going to do anything serious with linux reserve at least 30 gig un-partitioned. The thing you don't want to do is create the partitions for Linux with Partition Magic allow the installer to create what it needs.
