error message when prompted for swap
hi all,
i want to install 10.2. dual boot it with xp.
i originally wanted to use, or was told to use..lol...partition magic, but many had advised me against it, as it would cause me many problems after.
so i listened, and opted against it.
when i tried the installation, it said, there was not enough memory for the yast to load, and then wanted me to write what i wanted the swap to be called, it gave me an example such as /dev/sdsa2, so i wrote that, then it gave me an error message and asked me to choose a name of swap again..
what is wrong with it? What do i need to do ?
EDIT: nevermind, i didnt check the hardware requirements.

If you are going to do anything serious with linux reserve at least 30 gig un-partitioned. The thing you don't want to do is create the partitions for Linux with Partition Magic allow the installer to create what it needs.
