How to start and configure vnc in suse 10.0

    Hello all,

I have a suse 10.0 system and I want to run a vnc server in there at port 5900 so that it can be controlled externally.

    1. Could you please tell me what is the application or process that manages vnc?

    2. which is the config file for that and where is it?

    3. how to make sure the vnc service runs on port 5900 ?

    4. how to give a password for the service ?

when i searched, i came up with this /etc/xinetd.d/vnc config file and I tried to change the port in it to 5900 and start vncserver process from /usr/X11R6/bin but still it is not accessible from outside.

any help is deeply appreciated. thanks.

the remote administration in YAST is not good enough to configure vnc. thanks for your reply anyway.
