    normal looking gnome

hey I'm running openSuse 10.2 and I just switched over to the gnome desktop. I quickly noticed that like KDE, novel messed with the appearance. I personally liked it the normal way. In KDE I could just right click on the start button and hit use kde menu style. This appears to not be the case with gnome. How can I switch it?

I don't know what you want to switch, but you can change the themes and stuff under preferences, and you can change the menu by removing the current one (right click, remove from panel) then add the "normal one" (right click, add to panel)

sorry. I guess I didn't explain well enough. Novell completely changed the appearence of both the KDE and gnome default desktops to be a unique SUSE version.

    Regular gnome

    SUSE 10.2 gnome

You can see how they are quite a bit different. The same basic thing happened in KDE except when I right clicked on the menu button, there was an option to switch it back to the normal KDE style interface.
