Won't connect to a wireless network

I'm new to linux (messing with RedHat five years ago doesnt count), just installed SuSe 10.2 on an old Vaio laptop (P2 333, 192 RAM). Im using a PCMCIA WIFI card Microsoft MN-520. System finds the card just fine, network manager shows all the networks. But when i try to connect to my home network, after i enter the WEP key, it never goes past 57% (Configuring IP Address ... or something like that), and then the window where i enter the WEP pops up again. Never even got it connected.
    Any ideas?
