I just noticed this about a week ago, but I'm not able to access cd/dvd when I insert them. With the lone exception of blank discs. If it is a blank dvd/cd then it prompts me to burn a new disc, otherwise it does nothing. I try to open the drive and I get an unable to mount message then another message that it is trying to open the drive. Which never happens.

I have tried this with DVD movies, burned copies, data CD's, and OEM CD's. None of them work. I have checked all the settings in Removable drives and media and all are set to autorun, also in gnome configuration editor, I believe all settings are correct. What am I missing? its great that I can burn a disc, but if I take it out and put it back I can't mount it.

I had NeroLinux installed and removed it thinking it was causing a problem but this persists. Please help.
