A bizzare problem happens in MPlayer

It used to work properly, but now when I playback DVD(I watch "Friends" when I am free),
one episode ends, mplayer close the "video window". I try to check out the "preference", but achieve nothing. Then I re-install it through "smart", but the problem is still there.

What's wrong with that? I am so comfused..

    Thanks in advance.

I don't understand your description of your problem. The description of the problem you are trying to explain is very confusing.

But having typed the above, typically, with Linux, re-installation of an application won't fix the problem if the problem is due to a bad configuration setting in the file that is in your /home/username/.application directory. You have to remove the configuration file, which is NOT removed by re-installation of the executeable.

Go to /home/chrainy/.mplayer, and rename it to /home/chrainy/.mplayer-old, and try again.
