    multi boot problem

    hello,
i have a problem with multi boot between Windows, Suse and Solaris.
I install Windows XP first next i installed the SUse 9.3 and finally The solaris 10 11/06. Solaris is supposed to handle the boot process. After the solaris installation the boot process gave an option like
    -Solaris 5.10 ...64bit
    -Solaris safe...
    -Windows
    -Windows
So during the boot process no more SUse among the option. How can i get my Suse back while my GRUB is still manage by SOLARIS.
I have 3 primarry partitions for Windows and solaris and nothging in the last one. et one logical partition which contain the SUSE
    Thanks

    Hi Bezgodo,

Insert your SuSe 9.3 installation disk, select installation, then select 'boot an installed system' You'll see SuSe listed and select that, this will bring you back to your SuSe installation.

Next, open YaST, select 'System' then 'Bootloader'. In the bottom right hand corner there is a button labeled 'Other', this will open into other menu options for you, select 'Propose and merge with existing Grub menus'. You'll be shown what your boot loader will look like and for now, just accept everything. Click 'Finish' and your boot loader will install, this makes SuSe boot everything for you. When you learn what entries you don't need or are duplications, you can edit the bootloader in YaSt later on.

Finally, once back into SuSE from GRUB, take the option in YaST to make a rescue boot floppy, I have one of these and it's a god-send, especially for this kind of senario as it saves you using the installation CD and lets you boot straight back into SuSe or your other OS.
