    Wlan problems...

    Hi,

I installed opensuse 10.2 on monday, and have been now few days fighting with this WLAN. First it seemed all good, system recognized my wireless adapter, Intel PRO/Wireless 2200bg. However I havent yet managed to get it running, it isnt running in network interfaces altough have power on it, I've set it to power on boot, tried to use it manually but anything wont start it so I could start scanning for wireless networks.

What I've read there should be some wlan0 running but I see only eth0 and lo running in network interfaces.

    iwconfig tells me this >
    lo no wireless extensions.

    eth0 no wireless extensions.

    sit0 no wireless extensions.
I've tried also changing network manager on and off but it doesnt help.

Is it maybe a USB WLAN ?

Check HERE for a minimal explanation of my own on how to configure your wireless card...IF IT'S USB!
