Hi All;
I'm going to install suse10.2 I entered suse open site and downloaded 5 CDs from there but there are many other things to download other than the 5 CDs like Addon-NonOSS-CD1,Addon-Lang-CD2,Start-CD-Image4,MD5SUMS,Installation Repository
Addon-NonOSS-Installation Repository
Sources Sources
Addon-NonOSS-Sourc
should I download any of these and also if I had a new hard 80G what are the sizes of partions you recommend for installing suse linux , windows xp and may be later I'll install redhat
Thanks in advance

Start-CD-Image4 have no idea but you do not need it
MD5SUMS check sums to check the integrety of the download adn the ISO burn. usefull
Installation Repository - got no idea don't need it
Addon-NonOSS-Installation Repository again no idea you don't need it
Addon-NonOSS-Source don't need it unless you are goint to do some serious programming
Really depends on what you are going to do what data you plan to store etc.

2 Install suse tell it to use the free space but you will want to customize the resulting partitions.
a) swap - twice the amount of memory you have installed
b) / (root) - min 10 gig idealy 20 gig+
c) home - depends on what and how much you plan to store.

Two notes: You dont really need a swap partition larger than 1GB.
Second, the installation repositories are for after installation. You can put those into Yast so instead of putting in the CD's each time to install something, it will download the appropriate packages.Looking for a distro? Look here.
