    3d not working under xen

    Hi,

I'm using opensuse10.2 with KDE and have 3D effects working great. I downloaded the latest ATI drivers for my graphics card and ran aticonfig --initial and set display to Xgl. However, when I reboot using the xen kernel, I can't get 3D to work. Under My Computer, it says 3D not supported. I tried re-installing the driver and running aticonfig --initial under the xen kernel but it didn't help. Has anybody encountered this issue. I know 3D is more of a nice to have but I was really beginning to like it.

    Thanks much!

    Nick

You might consider to go back to a default kernel and use VMware server (its free) for your VM. I had 3d for a while and it worked fine with VMware.

Thanks! I didn't know vmware was free. I'll give it a shot.
