    how to connect to internet ?

    hi all,
    recently installed suse 10.1. I cant seem to try and connect it now to the net, how do i do it.
    I went into the yast, and tried to find it in network devices, i think thats what its called but it wasnt there, then i tried to do it manually but i had no idea which one to choose.
    help someone
    please
    EDIT: btw, i want to connect it to adsl line first and then a wireless router.

    If Suse did not automatically recognize it, you will have to get the right driver for it. If you are currently running a windows partition also. You should see what the name of the device is that you need the driver for. Not to scare you, but I have had two modems that don't have drivers anywhere for Linux.

    ok u scared me...but thanks btw
    I do have suse dual booted with win xp. Where do i check the name of the device that is needed for the driver?

    I'm not very good with Windows, but I found my Ethernet controller model number and stuff when I right clicked on my computer, selected properties, selected the hardware tab, and selected device manager.

    Hello
    I use suse 10.1 oss i386
    but I cant run KInternet although I do its configuration in YaST(and I use KPPP .but its slow)
    I havent KIntrnnet in the path Applicatoins -> Internet -> Dial-Up
    there is only KPPP .
    please help me.

    Try typing alt-f2 and then entering Kinternet. If that does not bring up Kinternet in your taskbar you will have to download and install it.

    I would like to help you, but it would be nice to if you could give me the exact question you want me to answer. Do you want to know how to connect to the external network with you're wireless router, or something else?
