    did you install KDE? If yes, you should be able to choice kde session at the login window

    Thanks, what package do I install for KDE?

    Ther are quite a few packages that I see to install. Which one installs the desktop?

    Pardon me for my stupidity. I am just starting with Linux. I have been using Windows since the 80's.

    Take a look at http://en.opensuse.org/KDE
    I assume the package name is just kde....
