NdisWrapper HELP
hey guys,
I managed to get Ndiswrapper working on my SuSE installation, so I did an online update(mainly because my version of SuSE 10.0 is like a year or two old) and whats this? NdisWrapper STOPS WORKING. My Wireless card is blinking one light showing power, but it isn't making any attempt to connect. I type 'ndiswrapper -l' and it says that the driver is installed and the device is present, I've tried reinstalling NdisWrapper 1.3.7, but when I modprobe NdisWrapper, nothing happens.
I've typed lsmod and NDisWrapper is at the top of the list, so needless to say, the program is "working", just not how I want it to work.
Any ideas?
Thanks guys!

Post the contents of /etc/modprobe.conf here.
Also what do the ifconfig and iwconfig commands show?
EDIT:
Ifconfig and iwconfig need to be run as root in a terminal. All Empires rise and fall. The Microsoft Empire has already risen, only one way to go now...

Just add modprobe ndiswrapper to the end of /etc/rc.d/rc.local
That should fix it

actually - I went to my Network devices settings - disabled the PCMIA checkbox, and set the module to "ndiswrapper", that works like a charm. Thanks anyway
