suse cd will not boot

ive just bought suse 10.2 6 cd set
the problem is my pc wont boot from the cd so i can start to install them i have changed my bios settings to boot from cd but they still wont work
the hard drive is formated and partitioned ready for the operating system
these cds work as i have tryed them on another pc
help any1

i have downloaded the suse boot disks and can get to the install menu when the first cd is put in it starts to run then just stops.

from this menu is there anything else i can try

If you have an old cd drive sometimes newer disks will not work.

the cd rom is ok the suse boot disk can see it.

i need to know any other way to get these cds to run.

Then I misunderstood what you initially said. If it can "see it" what occurs then? Do you get the Installation screen or not? Some specific details would be helpful.
