    Loging in problem

After editing the .bashrc file to contain the required $PATH for Cadence tools instalation, when i log in either with root or user accounts, a pop-up error message uppears to the upper-left side of log-in window prompt saying that:
"Couldn't start kdeinit, Check your installation"

I can change session type to "fail safe", and this let me access the terminal, but i don't know what to do to solve the problem..

    Thanks in advance,
    Ahmad,

Assuming you put the .bashrc in your home directory and since it appears your mods to that file are the cause remove (or edit) the file.
    Code:
    rm ~/.bashrc
    to remove it.

Ok, i know what a remove command is, but i'm not sure if it will work probably if i removed the .bashrc file?
Moreover, i must have Cadence pathes defined within it! Or at least in the .bash_profile! So what will the case be?
I want to know why did this ugly error message come from?!?!?

    Thanks and Regards

You can remove .bashrc without causing any problems to your operations. You can create a new .bashrc and create another profile.

. I can't help there. Not familiar with Cadence at all.
