Problem installing SuZe
Hello,
i m facing small problem while installing suse 10.2,
if any can help i will be so grateful,
the installation wizard is not detecting my hard disk, my PC is an
Acer brand and the suse can't read its hard disk at all, i tried the
ACPI disabled and the other installation options but all i get was
blank screens,

which graphics card do you have? did you try to install in Text Mode?

SuSe installer is not configuring your graghics card properly. install SuSe in text mode. its easy to configure graphics after installation.
CasperIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

its looks like BIOS is old. check your MotherBoard Manufacturer's site. if new version is available, upgrade BIOS.

- 02-23-2007 #7How far into the installation do you get? Are you getting the "blank screen" right after you start the boot? If so, the hard disk is not being read yet and you need to look elsewhere for the cause. A bad CD burn tops the list of causes.
