Replace crippled xine with non-crippled xine

Amaork, as packaged and provided by Novell/SuSE, comes crippled for mp3. I think only Real Player will play mp3 in the "as-packaged" SuSE-10.2 release.

The reason is the xine engine (used by amarok), that comes with the Novell/SuSE "as-packaged" version, is packaged in a crippled manner for mp3. The simple solution is to replace that xine version, with a non-crippled version. The packagers who contribute to the Packman web site, have created a non-crippled xine rpm for SuSE.

You can find further information and guidance here (please go to the URL in this link and read it):

Edit: Note that if you install the Guru packaged amarok (instead of using the Novell/SuSE packaged Amarok), you will also need to install the Packman packaged "mad" rpm.

I downloaded "libxine1-1.1.4-0.pm.0.i686.rpm" but it seems that i cannot unpack and install
When i double-click, appears in my panel "install software loading application" and nothing happens.
    any idea?

Yes, it would really help you, ... no let me say that differently, .... you need to figure out how installing package sources works on SuSE linux. Take a look here:
