    Suse 10.2 Installation Fails

When ever I put in the Suse DVD to install it, it takes me to the initial screen and no matter which installation I choose, half way through loading to the setup, it crashes. A error message comes up saying that the DVD installation source was not found, and when I select verify the DVD it says it could not mount the cd-rom drive.

Here's the scenario: I had a pc with the same DVD drive I have now, I upgraded my pc recently and on the previous pc I was running Suse 10.0. Now I cant install Suse 10.0 or Suse 10.2 (both giving the same problem as stated above).

I could really do with some help since I know the DVD is fine (used it for a mates pc - and it worked - both DVDs Suse 10.0 and 10.2). I really need to get SuSE 10.2 set up on my new rig without having to use any virtual machines.

This is my rig if it helps:
    Intel Core 2 Duo 2.13GHz
    Asus P5B
    Transcend DDRII-800
    2 x 200GB Seagate SATA-II
    1 x 320GB Seagate SATA-II
    1 x 40GB Maxtor ATA66
    LG DVD Multi-Writer with Lightscribe
    NVidia 7600GT

All the parts in blue were used in my previous rig with SuSE 10.0 and ran beuatifully.

Hey man, I had a frustrating problem myself.

*If you still have the original ISO file, run an MD5 check.
*If not then simply redownload the ISO and burn the DVD again. It is most likely linked to a corrupted file.

This will probably solve your problem. If not then it is something more indepth, something that I probably can't help you with.

    Good Luck!!

Already did checksums and all was good, plus I used the same DVD I'm using to install it on a mates pc (and that worked).
