    Wireless Config

I am running SUSE 10.1 on a Dell Inspiron notebook. I have a wireless connection to a Linksys WRT54G router (and DHCP server). Inside the notebook is an Intel Pro/Wireless adapter. My system is dual boot with SUSE on one side and XP on the other. Here's the problem:

Whenever I log on to the Linux side, I initially have no network connection. The way I get connected to the Internet is by going into YAST/Network Config Overview. I then click on my wireless network card and then 'Edit'. From there I click Yes...Yes...Yes...Yes... not changing any configuration values mind you...and Yes. The system goes through its routine and only then do I have a network connection. Although sometimes I have to repeat once or twice. What a pain..

I am using WPA encryption by the way.

The Windows side logs on fine.

I am a newbie so please be gentle with me.

    Thanks
    Michael

Do you have Knetworkmanager installed in your SuSe,the ipw2200 bg wireless works fine under Linux, the wireless should be configured automatically when you installed your Linux,in any case check if the knetwork manager is installed or no and you can use this package to see the available wireless network and to connect.tell me if that help of if i don't understand your problem.
