Driver installation Help please
Alright so Im very new to suse. This is my first time installing video drivers for linux. I type su and login as root, and then i type init 3 to get out of the gui to install my video drivers. but when I try to cd somewhere it asks me for a password. I put in the root password and it gives me login incorrect. Why is this? I cant install my drivers without cd'ing in this prompt.

you need to type "root" first as the user then it will ask for the password.
ie you must log on to the console
