I have Suse 10.1 64-bit installed and I can't figure out why my keyboard stopped working in X. It works in the text terminals.

Any ideas or things I can check would be much appreciated.

thanks for the hint. I looked at the file and the InputDevice ... kbd line was missing. I must have had my kvm switching the keyboard to my other computer last time I ran sax.

Great. Thanks for the tip. This happened to me last year, but couldnt find the reason. Not familiar with Suse. We could log in using VNC so not a problem as most stuff done that way.
Today i decided to fix it or bust. This forum and specific note fixed the problem. I had obviously run sax2 or yast when connected via vnc and so it did not see any keyboard via the kvm switch. Something to remember when installing. Better to have a real keyboard and mouse connected!
    Thanks again.
