You should be able to right-click on any remaining panel and add a new one.

press Alt+F2 and type 'gnome-panel'
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Alt+F2 doesn't do a thing
anyway... writing "gnome-panel" in the terminal says "bash: gnome-panel: command not found"

It is a newb advise but if you have a microzoft keyboard try pressing the "F lock" button in order to run command
