    hi guys
    i have downloaded all 5 CDs. and now what i want to know is that is it possible to just burn 1 CD and install basic system and later on i can install packages from windows directory . i assume that CD-1 contain basic system and networking .

    Nope, you will need CD 1, 2 and 3 for the install.

    but isnt there package upgradtion utility after u install basic system form CD-1 and CD-2 ?

    There are 5 CDs plus the addon total of 6

    You need the first 3 for a very basic install

    If you install the gcc++ compiler and the kernel source or anything much more you will need 4 and 5
