Hi guys i installed win32codecs but still i cant play the mp3's with the players provided with Suse 10.2 wat can b the problem?? Help me out of this plz....

    Installed Win32codecs, still not playing Mp3's

    Hi guys i installed win32codecs but still i cant play the mp3's with the players provided with Suse 10.2
    wat can b the problem??
    Help me out of this plz.

    Go to http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3?stat...srodzaj=3&dist[]=48
    and download xmms-lib-mad(your arch).
    install it (be sure that you have xmms installed first)
    and now you can play your mp3 using xmms

    Only Real Player will play mp3's in a default SuSE-10.2.

    As already noted in this thread, one way to "upgrade" the other SuSE-10.2 players, such that they play mp3, is to replace the Novell/SuSE packaged xine, with the Packman packaged xine, and then select the xine engine in your openSUSE player(s). You can read more about it here:
