    missing firefox plugins

    Hi everybody.

    i have the following problem:
i want to see jazeera live wish it's a TV news station, with mplayerplugin for mozilla everything works fine since 4 month but yesterday when i try to open this site a message says that some missing plugins (text/css),i don't know what exactly this new problem because it was working and this is a new problem,in the beginning i thought that it's related to some change made by jazeera team but my friend can still open this site normally under windows (i don't use windows any more).this is the link:
    http://www.proche-orient.tv/aljazeera-live.php

    Any help is appreciated.

I can only say that it doesn't work for me either, though my mplayerplug-in is perfectly configured and works everywhere else.

The site upgraded to be Vista compatible thus breaking it for non windows people?????

    Edit:
Fired up XP in a VM and I can't view via FF there either. Looks like someone made the site IE only. I always knew that MS was part of the jiaad <VBG>

I really don't know what happened but I did some research and found these two files on the website
    http://www.proche-orient.tv/zej3.css
    http://www.proche-orient.tv/ zej3.css

Both plain text, they contain a link for an mms:// stream, open them with mplayer and you will be able to watch it

    Edit: More research

The webpage began using ASX http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Stream_Redirector (f*** Microsoft formats) which stores the stream information in a .css file as XML
It also uses WMV9, you will need mplayer binary codecs to be able to view it

Wow, thanks for the heads up Juan Pablo,
    Code:
    mplayer mms://stream3.proche-orient.tv/aljazeera2007
    works perfectly.
