defult runlevel is 3

X/KDE was working fine, and I can use any software(frefox, evolution etc), but today When I startx, I got the following error messages, on tty1(ctrl+Alt+F1)
#startx

Ok, now the prblm is that when i try to execute firefox, or evolution, ethereal(gui), any pdf doc, nothing happens, e.g, if i try to execute firefox, nothing hapens, but receive the following messages on tty1(ctrl+Alt+F1)
firefox-bin:5491): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Cannot open pixbuf loader module file '/etc/opt/gnome/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf.loaders': No such file or directory
(Gecko:5491): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Cannot open pixbuf loader module file '/etc/opt/gnome/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf.loaders': No such file or directory
(Gecko:5491): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Cannot open pixbuf loader module file '/etc/opt/gnome/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf.loaders': No such file or directory
(Gecko:5491): Pango-WARNING **: No builtin or dynamically loaded modules
were found. Pango will not work correctly. This probably means
there was an error in the creation of:
'/etc/opt/gnome/pango/pango.modules'
You may be able to recreate this file by running pango-querymodules.
(Gecko:5491): Pango-CRITICAL **: _pango_engine_shape_shape: assertion `PANGO_IS_FONT (font)' failed

issue resolved... the cause of the prblm was absence of "kde 3" and "gnome" directories.
infact somehow( i dont know how.... strange) the "gnome" and "kde3" directories under /etc/opt/ were deleted.
I simply copy the two directories from another another machine, and then run
#SuSEconfig
I dont know either SuSEconfig is required or not, but before starting x, I simply run the susconfig(after copying the two directories).
