I have a question. As some of you may or maynot remember I wrote a script to get a file,compare a field and if they matched tar the file.
I did this as a non root user. Today I had to create a file,for a demo, and I did it as root. Well,for the script to work on the file I had to access it as root.
So whe I executed the script the positon of the fields changed and the script failed.
Now I remmeber testing this and it worked. Inow it workd by having several tar files form previous tests in the dir.
So now I'm really confused
Any insight is greatly appreciated
