    I recieved my DVD this morning SUSE Linux version 64 bit,tried it but getting nowherte at all.I can open from my DVD Drive and see folders ie setup and a few others but clicking on any of them just reveals lots of files none of which can be opened.
    Of my two internal hard drives DRIVE D is empty, so would be good if I could install on here.but with nothing being recognised,looks like a difficult time ahead?
    I have checked my processor and the detail seem to be OK for the 64 bit version.
    cpu= X86-FAMILY15 MODELZ STEPPING 9 GENUINE INTEL 2800 MHZ. Pentium 4.
    Do you think I shoild alter my bios and try to boot direct from DVD disk??

    Thanks,

    langtry

    Yes. you must boot from the DVD/CD. This starts the install process.

    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
