You can also use Reiserfs file system, and install YAReG on Windows to be able to read write on it the link is :
http://yareg.akucom.de/
i prefer this solution instead of using ntf-3g to write on ntfs file system but it's up to you to choose.
hope this help

i do not trust ntfs with rw
i thought maybe there was another fs that was fully supported from both windows and linux
i have already re-formated the drive to ext3
and setup samba on the machine to fileshare with windows but i have trouble sending the data to the machine as it doesn't go faster than 2-3mbps,
though when i read, from the samba server it goes up to half gbps
any idea why this is happening?
