SuSE 10.0 locks up at boot time
I was using a puppy linux live cd to copy some data and it froze before I went to unmount hda3. I opened a new window and unmounted it from there and when I rebooted I got this before it stopped:
reiserfs: hda3: usingr5 hash to sort names
mount: Invalid argument
/bin/run - init: opening console: Not a directory
kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
I tried to repair it with the installation disc but it said something like "cannot find valid root partition"
I also tried doing reiserfsck --rebuild-tree /dev/hda3, but all I got was something like "would you like to run this program" then I type yes and nothing seems to happen (no flashing hard drive activity light).
Any help is much appreciated.
