    Installation is stopped because partitioner(suse 10.2) detects no hard disk.

    I just want to say that I had suse 10.1 in that partition before and I had no such problem.Additionally,the install interface loads only in the acpi=off mode and only after I disconnect all my usb devices.Please help me guys...My nerves!!!!

    When you boot your computer, go into your bios and make sure that your harddrive is being recognized. If that doesn't see it, Suse definitely won't either.

    It is recognized.Everything seems ok until I try to install.Please help me...I can't stand this situation.Any more ideas?

    Is the harddrive the only device connected to the IDE cable inside your computer? If not, unplug whatever else is on it and plug ONLY the CD/DVD drive in the other IDE cable and then try again. It sounds like something is probably conflicting with your harddrive.

    If that doesn't work, switch the cables on the harddrive and CD/DVD drive and try again. Perhaps a bad IDE cable?

    My hard disc is not connected with a ide cable like the dvd-rom but with a different one...My disc is sata...does it mean something to you?
