Sorry to keep posting guys.. but i wanted some experinced linux SuSE users to give me some very well needed advice..
im running a 500 Mhz machine with 768 mb ram and 2 hard drive 1:160 gig and 1:12 gig setup for XP sp2 , i also have a 256 mb nvidia 6200 ive been using SuSE 10.1 and it seems to be running faster than my xp install im actually even able to play games requiring 1 ghz or higher processors with minimum lag. however somethings i cant get to install correctly im very new to 10.1 although i have used SuSE 9.2 on a previous 400 mhz machine.. so what im asking is.. would downgrading to 9.2 allow me to use certain things.. i realy hate windows xp, it looks so ugly to me, and i constantly get random restarts and blue screens of death.. fatal erros and so fourth, i havent really had any problems with my current installation of SuSE 10.1 except i try to download linux software and sometimes it just wont let me install it at all and also my volume controal i guess its called (mixer.applett) has suddenly quit working, and im not sure how to bring it back.. =( what a noob i am. if any one has any good SuSE knowledge please leave some feedback, i want my 10.1 machine to make all of my friends migrate to 10.1 =) and ive got to find some way to convince them windows sucks! if any one has links to virus scanners disk tools or linux optimization or some kind of users guide..ive looked everywhere and i cant seem to find what lim looking for.. i just need some nice linux appz! im a sucker for great looking GUIs and Mail Clients, virus scanners.. etc; thansk to any one who took the time to read this i dont believe in puncuation has you can presently tell,,,
