    10.2 gnome win key

i am currently running 10.1 and love gnome over kde, i have tried 10.2 but hit a brick wall with the win key (so returned to 10.1). but if any one could help me i may update to 10.2
on gnome on kde the win key automatically onpen the 'start menu' (well 'computer' menu) even if you remove it from the task bar, this means that the win kay can not be used for keyboard shortcuts, which i have become very attached to.
so i would like to find a way to remove this default function of the win key, i kno that it can be done on kde (because it doesnot automatically occur, but you can turn it on if you want) but am not sure how to do it on gnome
any help or suggestions will be much appreciated

ok im guessing that is an area that a lot of suse users don't really care about then. but for those who do care about this and want to know how to solve the issue, i have now managed to solve it on my own.

open a terminal and type 'gconf-editor'

    select apps/metacity/general
find the tick box for 'enable_windows_key'
unselect this, this only prevents the windows key being used for the menu bar, it can still be used for any other shortcuts you may wish it for

becareful to make sure that your sessions will automatically safe on a shut down, because if you do this and the session is not saved the next boot will crash (i learnt this the hard way)

Hope this was help to someone out there. Any comments or feedback is very welcome.
