Installing Open Suse 10.2
My CD boots, but I reveive the folowing message, "Could not find open Suse installation CD. Activating manual Setup Program." Is this, because the Linux kernel does not support my Dvd Drive or my motherboard drivers. My SCSI CD ROM driver/module is loaded as well, but no luck. I atempted under safe settings and ACPI whatever it is disabled, but no luck other. When I verify if there is a CD in the drive it says it is not found. Under the status of Hard drives or CD roms. My DVD burner is not listed, only my Hard drive is. I am attempting to install Linux on another partition so that I have a dual boot system. Any help would be appreciated.

This is a contradiction. You say it boots the CD and then you say the CD is not recognized. My first guess is that it's a bad cd. Are the CD's from a download or what? If you downloaded did you do a md5checksum?. Bad CD's are a common problem.

i had similar problem with older versions of SuSe (9.3, 10) and RedHat 9.
my machine booted up from Installation CD, but after a few minutes, threw error, "Could not find Installation CD, Activating Manual Setup Program".
BIOS upgrade sorted out that problem. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
