Can I completely install Linux on USB flash disk?
Hi,
I have a 4.5GB USB flash disk, can i install complete linux on it so that to boot from flash even w/o need to HDD ??
Can you tell me other options if this is not valid one?

There are a few systems that will let you do this. I personally use Slax, many use DamnSmallLinux and I believe Knoppix can be run from USB now also. There are usually scripts included to run the install. Some versions of Slax even include a graphical installer.

I already have Knoppix 5.1.1, if you also know how can i install it, this will be great...

Well this is the link I used to do i t - click hereIt's pretty straight forward once you know the device name. Just make sure you back up (and possibly remove the contents of) the usb drive first.
