T-Mobile Edge Internet Connection sharing in Linux?

Hello. I just wanted to know if there is anyway possible I can share an internet connection with my smartphone. In case some of you may not know, connecting to the internet via your phone is a new thing. I don't always have a hotspot or access point. And I'm on the move quite a bit. This worked like a charm in Windows. I see this isn't a common problem, but I doubt many people use T-Mobile Edge Network.

    How it works:

My smartphone is a T-Mobile Dash. It comes with Windows Mobile 5.0.

It comes with a USB port which connects to my phone and into my desktop or laptop. After that, I share my internet connection with T-mobile, and viola I am online.

However, to utilize this, I must first load a driver. It works with Windows, but I wonder if there anyway to make this work with Linux. I know this is a bit of a far out question, and there is probably no support. But i thought I'd ask

    It's the Windows way

Don't want to be a smart ass but, What makes you think MS would allow you to connect to a non MS OS??? They do everything in their power to prevent this. Unless you happen to find some dedicated and driven group of programmers that have reverse engineered the API's I doubt if it will happen. Of course you can always hope that MS will change it's spots.
