Epson Stylus Photo R260
I'm trying to install a printer, more specifically an Epson Stylus Photo R260. I was able to get this printer to work in Xandros, but am unable to get it to work in SUSE. In Xandros I used a generic driver, Stylus Photo, but in SUSE all I get is page after page of code that prints.
I have the R260 connected to an XP box which I can see just fine using SMB. I am connected to the network, am able to use network resources, internet traffic is fine, but printing seems to be an issue. I was wondering if CUPS was a better way to go in SUSE, but have been unable to get CUPS to work either. I don't use a domain, but rather a workgroup with DHCP. It may well be a driver issue but don't see any easy way (atleast to someone unfamiliar with the Linux command line, I've tried the linux command many times in the past, but always with no positve outcomes) to get a new driver in the printer driver selection list.
Thank you.
