Internet problem

hi! i've openSUSI 10.2 a few days now...

i'm under a wireless router internet provider and an redhut linux by my educational school....

i can't connect to internet...
some one told me to create an ethernet interface....
ping command answers me to local interface(127.0.0.1) but i can get any answer in other ethernet interfaces (eth0 or eth1)?
actualy,is this the reason that i can't connect?

i'm using suse 10.2 but i can't work...

my education school provides us for network under a 'redhut linux system,dhcp addressing,peap,and wep encryption..

is there any possibility to pass router ports and download with torrent,which is forbitten with windows OS....

please help....

The problem is thet the card manufatures are not very Linux friendly.
