    Thumbs up Dell Latitude D600

I just got my D600 and most works fine under Suse 10.1
only a few things I would like to work on and they are mostly for learning and convenience
    1) no support for the wireless card had to use ndiswrapper, I'm ok with doing it this way and have not problems with performance once it's up and running however evertime I boot up I have to open a terminal and modprobe ndiswrapper with su for the wireless to come up
    2) I would like to get suspend on lid close to work, suspend from the kpowersaver menu works fine just not on close also I would like to find out if there is a way to have the power button shut the system down (or reboot would be better)
    3) and this is the last thing I can think of right now, I would like to get 3d support with the ATI controller in the system (I don't really need this feature but I do have a friend with an identical system to mine and he is stuck dual booting for this reason)

sorry for the long post :smoker:

re: Dell Latitude 600 power button

    Open YaST.

    Go to the System section.

Click on the Power Management icon.

After the Power Management module opens. Click on the "Other settings" button.

On the pull down menu select ACPI options

You'll see a menu of choices of behavior for the power button and the sleep button.

Now you can tell me something, does my 600 have a "sleep" button?

    Hi there

I have a Dell D600 as well I was wondering did you have to put a new wireless card in or are you using the existing one. I am new to wireless and any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance
