YAST > Network Devices > Network Card >User Controlled with Network Manager
then Edit your card with the Static config.

even tough i am clicked static, the ip is configuring by itself...
and for Primary and Secondary DNS, i have entered values in Name Server 1 and Name Server 2 ... is that right
but i am not able to connect to net only b'cos DHCP is not yet dissabled .......
Please let me know........I have to start my project
and this is giving me a lot of problem....i am trying a lot of options and i installed suse10.2 3times to check whether setting is correct
thanks

Are you using a router? If so, is that set up for static ip's?but i am not able to connect to net only b'cos DHCP is not yet dissabled .......
