    Uninstall Enemy Territory plz help

    So i downloaded this game, it installed fine but wont load up all the way and it wont play at all.. and then says cant load soldier file.. so i just wanna remove it how do i do that? any ideas any one?

    How did you install it. It makes a difference on how you uninstall it.

    via console it was a .run file i believe

    Enemy Territory puts an uninstall script in the directory to which you installed it. I believe it's called uninstall.sh or something to that effect. Run that script and it will clear out the install directory. You can then delete that directory. If you installed it to somewhere outside of your /home/ directory you'll need root privileges to run the uninstall script.

    /usr/local/games/
    thats where my et is located but no uninstall.sh script can i just the dir ? will that affect like registry or something?? or have files hidden somewhere?
    i dunno im a noob for real.

    No, you can just delete the /usr/local/games/et directory. Linux does not have a registry. There is likely a hidden .enemy-territory directory in your /home/ folder, but it's just your save games and personal data. Note the period in front. That signifies a hidden directory that will only show up if you use the ls -al command.

    You can delete it, just delete the /usr/local/games/et directory, delete /home/yourusernamehere/.etwolf and the symbolic link in /usr/local/bin and you're set.

    BTW as an ET player, can I ask if you had any other errors? It's probably a fixable bug not being able to load files.

    well i fixed the bug, just wanna remove it im really just testing linux gaming i used to play anarchy online but gave that up my gf got pissed at me for spending hours on the game plus its really no reward lol so i hat ewindows anyways music/video/graphix and production are way better on linux plus i never crash with suse 10.2 even on a 500 mhz machine with 768 mb ram 356mb nvidia card with xgl and a huge 19 inch lg flat panel monitor my setup is the sweetest 500mhz ever ! lol pc100 ram to btw ha!
