    Installation Problems. openSuse 10.2

    Hi,
New to this forum, and linux really, hope someone can help.
I have an older computer I want to use as a CS Source server, I read it will work on pretty much any distro so I went and grabbed one from a cover CD at the newsagent, since SuSe is the only one I've ever used I just grabbed that.

The computer I'm trying to install to is..

    Celeron 1Ghz
    256MB Memory
    40GB HDD

According to the system requirements that should work. However I am getting an error while trying to install, it makes it through the initial stages of the installation setup then as it tries to start installing I get...

    "failure occured during following action
Setting type of partition /dev/hdb7 to 82
System error code was - 1012"

Can anyone explain how to fix this error?

    Thanks.

Ok, sorry to waste any time I just figured this one out

I had to ignore the partitions that the installation wanted to create for me and make my own and format the window partition to create new ones. Installation is about half way through now hopefully if goes smoothly from here

    Thanks.

PS. Nice forums by the way I'll be sure to stop by if I have anymore problems.
