Suse Linux Installation Problem
Hello everybody,
I am trying to install Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop 10. My computer is Intel Core2Duo 64bit. When I boot from DVD disk it starts itstalling Linux but then it gives a message "Cannot find CD-ROM".
Please advise how to fix this problem.

Suse Linux Installation Problem
Does anyone know how to install from Hard Disk or any other installation method? I tried from Hard Disk, but also got problem installing.

I think there is a way to install from the internet, but your problem with your DVD is going to be a problem. I don't have a solution but suggest the it is a hardware configuration problem. Perhaps you have both the DVD and HD as master on the same IDE channel. Or something to that effect. Tell us more about your hardware.

Suse Linux Installation Problem
My hardware:
Mainboard: P965 Platinum Series (MS-7238 v1.x), Core 2 Duo, -North Bridge:Intel P965 chipset,
Hard Dislk - SATA:3M-Samsung HD401LJ
DVD/CD-ROM - IDE:HL-DT-ST- DVD RAM GSA-H44NSCSI CDRom.

I had this same problem on an IBM desktop. I finally tried upgrading my bios to the most current level and then I was able to install from the CDs. Before I got it working, I had to put the CD into a FTP server and then do a FTP install. It was kind of messy and took forever.
Try upgrading the bios for your motherboard.
