Old man needs some explainations, please!!
Something is being downloaded into my computer that freezes up my browsers. I have to do an automatic repair cycle to get rid of it. If it is in my computer when I start it up two lines of words will flash in the middle of my screen when Suse 10 and windows flash at the top right of the screen.
I suspect it is some kind of rootkit.
In yast I went into the log which is way over my head. I have some questions:
What is nfs smbfs?
What is SELinux?
What is killproc?
There was also a warning I do not understand after susefirewall2: warning: ip6tables does not support state matching. extended IPv6 support disabled.
I would really appreciate some help. Thanks!!
- 03-14-2007 #2I can't help you on the other terms, but I have had some annoyances with SELinux. It's basically a security framework created by the US National Security Agency (NSA). It causes all sorts of odd problems for various programs and devices and I usually just turn it off.
