    Hi,

    i am new to linux and am not able to run the program xchat is it default installed or how shell i use it...

    if i type xchat in terminal window it is saying command not found

    how shell i run xchat

    If the bash says the command is not found then you probably did not install it. Install it using the software management tool in yast.

    If you use YAST's Software management program you will be able to tell if it is installed or not. And if it is not...then it should allow you to install it provided the package is available on the software repositories YAST is searching.
