    Oracle and PHP - can't get oci8 for php

    Hi am a bit of a noob, i have successfully installed oracle, and am trying to get php to work with it. YAST doesn't have the oci8 extension loadable. I don't have pecl, although help installing it would be apreciated. I have tried zend core for oracle, but my glibc is too new, so that dosen't work. i have tried compiling php from source but that fails. I am running openSuse 10.2

    Done!! :):)

    I have fixed the problem and have managed to install php with oci8 support, was difficult, please see the article PHP and Oracle XE Express Edition on openSuse 10.2 for a full write up of how i did it.
