    I'm running OpenSuse 10.2 and I tried those Win32 codecs and all it does with this .AVI file I have is show a black screen. The numbers that say the movie is playing jump around a lot.

    I tried installing Mplayer and the Xine-lib targz's and it says I don't have the right version of GCC or something. It said it was too new I think.

    So what do I do now?
