Running SLES 9 on VmWare...took a snapshot, lost it PLEASE HELP
I know this is a long shot, but if anyone can help it would really awsome, because otherwise im pretty screwed.
I am running VMware workstation on an XP sp2 box, now here is my sad sad story....
I was working on my final at school and I took a snapshot of my current settings of Suse Linux Enterprise Server 9. Then I made a change I didnt want to so I tried to revert to the snapshot, and it wasnt there. I checked the Snapshot Manager, and there is nothing. After trying for a while I discovered that there is a file called sles.vmsd that references the snapshots *.vmsn, and *.vmdk files. I do have these files, but the snapshot manager does not see them. I created a sles.vmsd file that referenced the two above mentioned files in the same way that a snapshot of an XP image does. When I try and revert to the snapshot I get an errorr saying that I am missing a file.
Any help that I can get would be really really appricated, I have to do the final while I am in class, and I only have 1.5 hours to unless I can fix this, redo about 3 hours of work.
Thank you for any help you can give
