My Terratec Aureon 7.1 Universe sound card fails to initialise on start up of Suse Linux 10.2.

I have to resort to using Yast Control Centre, deleting and reinstalling it on each session. I have tried using each install option (Quick, Normal and Advanced) to no avail. The card is displayed correctly by Yast ‘configured sound card 0 with driver snd-ice1724’ and I do not have a second sound card in the computer.

Once set up within the session, it functions perfectly in playing media and recording audio from line in. Without becoming too technical within the workings on Linux, I would appreciate some advice on resolving this problem.
